There are two dates in history which are tied interestingly together by Christians and both had in the foremost parts of their minds were the ultimate of Christian acts. The years were 1429 and 1492, rather easy to remember and monumental in what happened then.
The first date of 1429 rests up on Jeanette D'Arc the anointed of France. In her first decree as General of the Armies of France, she dispatched a letter to English and her King. In the letter, General D'Arc, asked the English to vacate France and not fight.
Joan of Arc as the English would call her then stated, the French and English should join forces in peace and go on crusade to liberate Jerusalem from Muslim control.
Most interesting is it not that the Lady was pondering the real issue in this life and that was the liberation of Jerusalem.
The second date, 1492, should be more familiar in it belongs to that noble Christian, Christopher Columbus, the Viceroy of all the western world, who sailed west to reach the east, because the Bible stated God sat on the circle of the earth.
Faith is what Columbus was driven by.
In the personal logs of Viceroy Columbus there is a most interesting account of what he was really up to that has been hidden from history by satan.
Christopher Columbus was sailing to the orient not for riches for himself. Now the liars of satan who have impugned this noble gentleman's actions in thinking Indians of the Americas were some sedate lovely people living in harmony with nature, when in reality they were murderous savages using human sacrifice, cannibalism and murder.......and would in two seconds slaughter the people who attack Columbus if given that opportunity, have covered up what the great Admiral was up to.

On Thursday (Sept 18), at 11am the Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous draw-down of money market accounts in the U.S., to the tune of $550 billion was being drawn out in the matter of an hour or two. The Treasury opened up its window to help and pumped a $105 billion in the system and quickly realized that they could not stem the tide. We were having an electronic run on the banks. They decided to close the operation, close down the money accounts and announce a guarantee of $250,000 per account so there wouldn't be further panic out there.
If they had not done that, their estimation is that by 2pm that afternoon, $5.5 trillion would have been drawn out of the money market system of the U.S., would have collapsed the entire economy of the U.S., and within 24 hours the world economy would have collapsed. It would have been the end of our economic system and our political system as we know it.

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model.
I’ve got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish, and my paint job is getting a little dull. But that’s not the worst of it. My headlights are out of focus, and it’s especially hard to see things up close.
My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.
My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins. It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.
Almost every time I sneeze, cough or laugh, either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires."

What Is A Quiet Time?
August 21, 2009Do you know what quiet time is? It is fellowship with a holy God. The reason that some people do not have a quiet time is that they feel uncomfortable. They don’t want to look God in the face because there is unconfessed, unrepented sin in their life.
What did Adam do after he sinned and God came walking in the Garden? Adam fled. Before that, Adam had quiet time alone with God, didn’t he? They conversed, they communed. It was paradise. But when Adam sinned, he did not want to look God in the face.
When Moses went into God’s presence, God said, “Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover He said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.” God cannot be in the presence of sin because He is holy.
If you find a reluctancy to go into the presence of God, there may be unconfessed, unrepented sin in your life. Part of your quiet time is to get your heart clean and pure. Each of us needs to take ourselves by the nap of our necks and confess and repent before we come into God’s holy presence to fellowship. Psalm 66 verse 18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”

I heard this statement today in an interview Glenn Beck and even though the Nuge said it as a throw away line in the course of conversation, I believe that it truly encapsulates what is wrong with our country today.
Our Forefathers founded this nation on a truly revolutionary idea; that the PEOPLE were to be the power in charge of our society. That idea has served us in good stead for over two hundred years, but things seem to be falling apart in the last twenty years or so, and Mr. Nugents statement explains it all.
A country founded on the idea that power flows from the governed to the governors can only succeed and flourish if the PEOPLE remain engaged and actively participate in that governance.
Somewhere down the line "We the People" seem to have been infected with the intellectually lazy idea that we can "let the government take of of it" and still remain a free society.
That attitude inevitably leads to tyranny, and at this juncture we have progressed at least (a) quarter half of the way to that foul state.
It is somewhat discouraging to realize that someone who describes himself as "just a guitar player" is one of the most astute voices for freedom in evidence today.
This country needs to awaken from its state of somnambulism , and SOON, or we will wake up in the near future to find we have put ourselves in the bonds of servitude to the State just because we were too damned lazy to do the work and maintain the vigilism necessary to maintain our individual freedom.

There are a growing number of citizens in the US that are ready to fight to shut down the government’s grab of personal freedom, it’s blatant abuse of the Constitution, and it’s attempt to replace the American way of life with socialism.
You have to listen carefully to hear them, but they are there. I won’t start that fight, but when it goes down I will join it.

McCain wasn’t much of a candidate. I’ll give you that. He was the lesser of two evils for most of us. I don’t blame you for not voting for him since, at the time, you didn’t know what we all know now. But at least John McCain was an American. He was a supporter of the American way of life and he understood that you can’t negotiate with terrorists. He understood and appreciated the sacrifice made by my father and other members of the Greatest Generation.

God will judge their attitude and actions! (v. 17)
1. Your actions speak louder than all your words! God makes it very clear that He finds excuse making nauseating in the extreme. He bluntly relates to Jeremiah, "You have not obeyed me; you have not proclaimed freedom for your fellow countrymen. So I now proclaim ‘freedom’ for you, declares the LORD—‘freedom’ to fall by the sword, plague and famine. I will make you abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth." In fact, God promises to treat those who broke their promise like the calf they had slaughtered when making their promise. They would be handed over to their enemies. And, just like the parts of the slaughtered calf, their dead bodies would lie on the ground as food for both birds and beasts! (v. 18) You may think, "Man, that’s harsh!" But then you have forgotten how God views those who honor Him with their lips but curse Him with their actions. Ecclesiastes reminds us: "Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few." (Ecclesiastes 5:2)
